Glo Teeth Whitening

Glo Teeth Whitening

Whitening is a simple, non-invasive procedure that lightens discoloration and removes stains from the enamel and dentin of the teeth.

Not only do whiter teeth enhance that icon, the all-American smile, not only do they invoke youth, good health and our passion for fresh and clean, but whitening in one form or another is now universally accessible benefit of dentistry.

The key to successful whitening is an individual, tailor made approach commonly used in our in office treatments such as Glo Smile. For suitable candidates, in-office bleaching offers the maximum-strength concentration of carbamide peroxide up to 30 percent –applied to the teeth during one of the more carefully monitored whitening sessions that last a bit longer than an hour. This is a great way to quickly whiten the teeth before a wedding, prom, and major job interview.

The other procedure we use employs an effective, powerful, yet mild solution retained in a custom tray that is worn over your teeth generally for an hour a day. At home systems such as The Opalescence allow you to whiten in the comfort of your own home.

Neither bleaching procedure is known to harm the teeth or gums, and significant whitening can be achieved in the majority of cases.

Tooth-lightening is most ideal for patients who have healthy, unrestored teeth and would like to have a whiter, brighter smile. People with yellow, or yellow-brown teeth tend to bleach best.

Multi-colored teeth, especially if stained due to tetracycline, do not bleach easily. In addition, fillings, bonding, veneers and crowns do not bleach, and may need to be changed to match the lighter teeth once the bleaching is completed.
