Porcelain Fillings

Porcelain fillings also known as dental Inlays and Onlays are considered a halfway point between a filling and a crown. They are a stronger alternative than fillings for teeth that are cracked or decayed. Inlays and onlays are crafted by a dental laboratory, but they don’t cover the whole tooth like a crown does and are therefore more conservative. We may recommend this treatment option for teeth that have extensive decay or otherwise weakened structure that a filling will not be strong enough to restore. Once bonded to your porcelain filling will make your tooth stronger than before and your tooth will be able to bear up to 75 percent more of the chewing forces.
